Young Living, NingXia Red Equal Running Bliss

I have to say, heading to San Francisco to hang out with the women of Team NingXia Red® is one of the highlights of my year. Toss in a couple Young Living Essential Oil products, the Nike Women’s Half Marathon, plus a killer course, and you have the perfect recipe for making any girl’s head spin!
2010 marked the seventh annual Nike Women’s Marathon in San Francisco. This is my fifth year participating, and the incredible energy around this event always makes me feel like it is my first time. In the days leading up to the race, Nike set up shop in the heart of downtown San Francisco at Union Square. Our group of ladies showed up early Friday to pick up our registration packets and to participate in the Expotique. It was amazing! Women gearing up for both the full and half marathons were treated to foot massages, smoothies, and even some power songs to get us ready for race day. The only possible thing missing was not having enough NingXia Red to pass around!

Race day was absolutely crazy—and this is honestly the only time in my life when I am excited to hear my alarm go off at 4:30 a.m. Outfitted in our “Run NingXia Run” shirts, we arrived at the starting line early, which was already buzzing with excitement. It’s safe to say that nobody living above Union Square was getting much sleep! Thousands of women—some running the distance for the first time—descended upon the square to get loose for their big run, and when seven o’clock hit the party was on. Being part of the excitement and seeing the beautiful faces of everyone running for a great cause made it hard to stop smiling.
In the end we were all drenched, but thrilled to finish. The challenging course was picturesque, and we took many photos to capture our experience. As quickly as our tired legs could carry us, we escaped back to our hotel rooms for a warm shower, a little NingXia Red post-race cocktail, and of course some Deep Relief™ for our aching muscles.
