Understanding Energy

Energy is instant. Energy is consistent. Energy is nontiring and nonfatiguing. How do you learn to channel it?

The groundwork for understanding energy was laid in the 5th century BC by Greek mathematician Pythagoras, who expanded the knowledge of mathematics, geometry, musical harmonics, health, and of all things, spirituality; and his discoveries and philosophies are still impacting the world today.

Musical instruments produce a musical note, which corresponds to a mathematical proportion, which represents quantity. All you musicians out there understand this very well. Quantities are converted to measurements, which can be expressed through color, sound, touch, sight, and of all things, smell, even to the point that quantitative odor measurement is now real; and we now know how it works in the body.

Are They Problems or Gifts?

When we refer to emotional healing or therapy, in many ways some are from the old school–psychiatry, psychology, anger management, neurolinguistics, modified behavior counseling, and many, many more.  Every town has clinics offering ways for you to deal with your emotions and your behavior. Do you need the clinics? Are you throwing away your money?

Endorphins are pain suppressors and ecstasy inducers. Ecstasy is the antidote to a disease- and pain-free body. Pain and disease cannot live or be present in the frequency of ecstasy. Ecstasy is the highest physical vibration of the human body. Why aren’t we there? Why don’t we feel ecstasy 24/7? Because we get caught up in stuff, even though we know we’re not supposed to “sweat the small stuff.” But the stuff becomes bigger and bigger to us.

Psychosomatic–“psycho” means soul; “soma” means body. Can they be separated? No, not until you die. Emotions link mind and body, and the molecules of emotion run every system in your body. Think about it and think about the last time you had a negative emotion or you got upset about something.

Open Your Mind to Start Inner Discovery

Invest in your self-discovery and inner strength. See yourself as God does. Embrace yourself where you are and then move beyond it.

Emotions. Heal the mind to heal the hurt and the heart. Is there anyone here who has never had any hurt?  Where does the emotion start? In the mind. So how are you going to access that, to start your healing process? How are you going to open the mind to start the inner discovery?

Frankincense is one of the greatest stimulants for your spiritual communication. In ancient times the people never labeled emotions; they never labeled disease. They didn’t create a bunch of labels so that they could create a bunch of drugs. Everything in ancient times was spiritual and involved the deities. If you were sick, it was because it was an evil deity. If you were healthy, it’s because you were living in a high spiritual form. If you were negative, it’s because you were possessed by a deity. It wasn’t called emotion. Everything in ancient times was spiritual.

Take Enzymes So You Don’t Have to Sleep A Lot

What every person should do at night is to take 10 to 15 Detoxzyme when they go to bed. If you add one or two Essentialzymes with that, then you are going to make sure that you have what you need in your digestive tract to handle that big meal you had at 8 o’clock.

How many of you have restless legs at night? Not anymore. How many of you have nightmares at night? How many have restless sleep? All those are indicators of enzyme deficiency. If you have restless legs, if you have restless sleep—waking, sleeping, waking, sleeping—that’s enzyme deficiency. What is it telling you? It’s telling you that your body is fighting, struggling, and wrestling with trying to digest that food you stuffed in there, and it can’t do it because it doesn’t have any help.

How many of you know that if you don’t eat after 3 o’clock, you sleep better? That’s because your stomach is not in turmoil. It is believed that if you can get into the 4th stage of sleep, you need to sleep for only 2½ hours to totally rejuvenate your body. You cannot get in the 4th stage of sleep with enzyme deficiency. It’s impossible. Build up those enzymes!

Essentialzyme’s Powerful Ingredients

One of the things that you will see in Essentialzyme™ is carrot powder.

Why did I include carrot powder? Because I want the body to recognize the natural form of enzymes. It’s important to know that carrots contain the highest level of natural plant enzymes in the entire plant kingdom.

Remember, enzymes need minerals to perform their functions. Minerals are called “cofactors” because without them, enzymes would just sit around and do nothing. So it is vital that you supply your body with a variety of minerals.

If you look on the Essentialzyme label, you will see two ingredients called alfalfa leaf and sprout powders. Alfalfa is one of the most important ingredients we have included for a full range of essential minerals that harmonize and complement the enzymes in the carrot powder and the other enzymes that we have put with it. These enzymes include pancreatin, pancrelipase, trypsin, bromelain, and papain–all these ingredients are great because they work together.

Running on Fumes? Get Enzymes!

Essentialzyme is a complex of animal enzymes and plant enzymes including pancreatin-X, which is the strongest protein enzyme that exists. Your pancreatin enzymes help regulate the function of the pancreas and regulate glucose and insulin needs, and every aspect of it has a specific function.

So, if you want to stay well, then build your enzyme reserves. If you have an allergy, build your enzyme reserves.
I had a beautiful lady the other day say to me that she takes 20 to 30 enzymes a day and is still having a problem. So I made a real simple analogy. I said that if you have a car with a 21-gallon tank on it and you run out of gas, you have to pull over and park. If you put 1 gallon of gas in it, how far are you going to get before you run out of gas again?

Hormone Production Needs Enzymes

Supplemental enzymes come from plant, microbial, fermentation, andanimal sources. A lot of you may be vegetarians, and I just wish for you to pay close attention, because I feel that I can speak your language quite well. I was a strict vegetarian for 27 years. I lived that life and felt it was really valuable—except for one thing. When you’re young in your 20s, 30s, and 40s, it’s really easy to be a vegetarian.

When you hit 40, things start to change a bit. All of a sudden—and particularly for you ladies who have had children—all of a sudden you start to notice that your energy is down, and your skin doesn’t feel as soft and firm as it used to. You start to get little lines around your eyes but feel that you shouldn’t.

Estrogen is needed to maintain beautiful skin for you ladies, and when you’re a vegetarian, you have a very, very difficult time maintaining proper estrogen levels after the age of 40 if you have had children. Now if you haven’t had children, you can probably make it to 50 before you really start noticing it, but in today’s world, I really doubt it.

Commitment to Enzymes and Good Health

So how does that happen? It’s called discipline. It’s called commitment—to a purpose, the purpose of your eating habits and what you supplement with. All of those will determine whether you can do that or not.

The upper stomach is alkaline, with a pH of 6.5–7, and food remains there for one hour and then enters the lower stomach, which is acid, with a pH of 2.5–5. This is really critical in helping to maintain good pH. What helps to maintain a proper pH in the stomach? Two things are really, really critical: Enzymes, No. 1, and probiotics, intestinal flora, No. 2.

So you have to have intestinal flora and enzymes to maintain a good pH range in the gut. If you don’t, what is the end result of not having good pH? Burping, gas, excessive acid, headache, stomach ache—all those wonderful things that we sometimes experience.

What Exactly are Enzymes?

What exactly are enzymes? Enzymes are the proteins produced by living organisms and are composed of amino acids.

Enzymes are formed by stringing together long chains of amino acids, which have literally millions of different structures.

Enzymes are catalysts that create many essential biochemical reactions. These enzymes are not consumed in the daily processes of the body. However, if you are taking ibuprofen, Tylenol, or an antibiotic; if you are receiving chemotherapy or radiation therapy; or if you are cooking your food in a microwave, you are destroying your enzymes, and the enzymes cannot build or develop in your system. Without the enzymes, some metabolic processes would happen very slowly or not at all.

Our body has many different kinds of enzymes, but the three major ones are digestive, food, and metabolic.

Stimulate Your Brain with Enzymes

If you build up your enzyme storage reserve and maintain it, you will discover that you will enjoy good health. I get asked constantly how I go into a country, go into the jungle, deal with what I do, come back, and just keep going and going and going and not get sick. I eat more enzymes than I eat anything else, and I have ever since I made Essentialzyme in 1984. That and the oils are my mainstays. I rub oils on and drink them.

When you do that, you reduce the chance of being sick, and you are able to do more, perform more, think better, and think more clearly. One of my young colleagues just two days ago was traveling with me, and he asked me how I remember all the things I have to remember. I told him that it’s easy, because enzymes stimulate the brain for memory retention, memory alertness, and articulating.

Connecting to Emotions Through Writing

Is writing old fashioned? Not hardly! Gary will teach you how to tap into your emotions so you can reprogram those you wish to change—and the key is writing.

Put your iPads away, put your laptops away, get out the pad and pencil—we’re going to do it the old fashioned way. Yup, sorry. The old fashioned way. There’s a very specific reason for it. The mind does not connect to emotion through electronics; it connects to it through energy that is produced from the nimble movement of your fingers wrapped around a pencil shaft. I’m not saying that you can’t put it in your iPod, your laptop, or whatever later; please do so that you can put it in a file, save it, and never look at it again. That’s what we do, isn’t it? But for this class, please, I want you to write, not type; you’ll understand the reason one day if not before class is over.

The Magic of Enzymes

Enzymes are found in every living cell, whether in plants, animals, or humans.

Ancient people believed that plants were magical. They watched them come out of the ground or watched a tree that put on a bud and sometimes a flower; then a leaf; then change color over the spring, summer, and fall. Then the leaves fell off and turned brown.  Ancient people believed that plants were magical because they saw this process.

They also learned that when they killed an animal and hung it in the trees, the longer it hung there and the more it aged, the better flavor the meat had and the more tender it was.

Why did this happen?

Know the reason why is this happen. Read the full story of The Magic of Enzymes.

Essential 7: Summary

The Essential 7™  is a collection of seven of Young Living’s premiere single oils and oil blends. YL’s Doug Corrigan and Karen Boren are guest bloggers for a series sharing information that will teach you the many ways the Essential 7 kit can enrich your life.

DOUG: Over the past few weeks, we have meshed a list of wellness demands with essential oils that really perform well.  A lot of people were probably surprised to find out that the area where oils excel the most, where there’s the most scientific literature, is in the area of emotional support and that these oils profoundly affect our mood, help us to manage stress, and help us to manage other things like anxiety.

KAREN: One aspect of essential oils that is amazing to me is that many oils are calming and uplifting at the same time.

DOUG: You’ve mentioned that before, and it is one of the great things about essential oils. They can calm or lift up because they really have, as you termed it, an inner intelligence that seems to know what it is that your body needs and then provides it.

Essential 7: Peppermint Part 2

The Essential 7™  is a collection of seven of Young Living’s premiere single oils and oil blends. YL’s Doug Corrigan and Karen Boren are guest bloggers for a series sharing information that will teach you the many ways the Essential 7 kit can enrich your life.

DOUG: You mentioned peppermint, Karen, how it impacts us topically—especially with its powerful phytochemical menthol.

KAREN: Peppermint is multifaceted. Anyone who gets to that certain age where joints start creaking a bit will find that that peppermint on the knees is just bliss! I love balsam fir for that as well but peppermint is really the one that has worked on my knees. I think this is a key point for people to know, that oils impact us all a little bit differently. We need to find the ones that work best for us, and like you, I’ve experimented and found out which ones are helpful for me and my body chemistry.

Essential 7: Peppermint Part 1

The Essential 7™  is a collection of seven of Young Living’s premiere single oils and oil blends. YL’s Doug Corrigan and Karen Boren are guest bloggers for a series sharing information that will teach you the many ways the Essential 7 kit can enrich your life.

DOUG: You mentioned peppermint, Karen, and how it impacts us topically and aromatically.

KAREN: Peppermint is such a fabulous oil. I use it for a number of things. But I was really excited to read one of the studies on peppermint, to learn about the increased mental clarity that it gave people. It significantly helped women who were proofreaders so that they were able to spot misspellings. (Interestingly, lavender was the scent that produced the greatest effects for proofreading in males.) Peppermint also improved performance for participants during typing, memorization, and alphabetizing tests.

Essential 7: Peace & Calming

The Essential 7™  is a collection of seven of Young Living’s premiere single oils and oil blends. YL’s Doug Corrigan and Karen Boren are guest bloggers for a series sharing information that will teach you the many ways the Essential 7 kit can enrich your life.

DOUG:  Every one of the oils in the Essential 7 kit can cause an emotional response, so when we smell any of the single oils or blends in this kit, we will likely have some kind of an emotional response, and for the most part, these are tailor-made to really boost our emotions and help us to manage our stress and anxiety. What is the research telling us about what these oils do, specifically in the area of emotions and stress?
KAREN: We talked earlier about a study that shows how the scents of lavender and orange diffused in a dental office actually calmed people down before their dental work was done.

DOUG: When I think of orange, I think of what a great blend we are going to talk about today—Peace and Calming, which has a couple of citrus oils, tangerine and orange. It’s a blend that we use a lot in our house. What I love is that it has a combination of a couple of other more base-note type oils that are mixed with the citrus oils of tangerine and orange, from which we get a lot of the uplifting type of scent but not uplifting to the point where it causes us to feel anxious. Quite the opposite, it’s uplifting to where we are calm and feel that our minds are clearer.

The Essential 7™  is a collection of seven of Young Living’s premiere single oils and oil blends. YL’s Doug Corrigan and Karen Boren are guest bloggers for a series sharing information that will teach you the many ways the Essential 7 kit can enrich your life.

Can you remember what clean smells like? Using Purification in your home will leave the air with a sparkling, fresh scent.
DOUG: One of the oil blends that we haven’t mentioned that is so tremendous is Purification, which is hands down my favorite oil blend. I call it the great neutralizer because this oil is just tremendous at neutralizing everything and anything that’s causing you problems, be it noxious fumes, petrochemicals, or toxins. The applications for Purification are virtually endless. You have a great story with regards to that, Karen.

KAREN:  I think I have the very best “How did you come to Young Living?” story. I was on an archaeological dig in Israel near the Dead Sea, and one of the members of the team was stung on her hand by a scorpion. We all freaked out. I thought for sure she was going to die. I was terrified of scorpions[...]

Wecker, on the battle wounds of soldiers. It belongs to the same botanical family (Burseraceae) as frankincense (Boswellia carteri) and myrrh (Commiphor myrrha). Elemi is highly regarded today for soothing muscles sore from exercise, protecting skin, and stimulating nerves.

The Essential 7™  is a collection of seven of Young Living’s premiere single oils and oil blends. YL’s Doug Corrigan and Karen Boren are guest bloggers for a series sharing information that will teach you the many ways the Essential 7 kit can enrich your life.

DOUG: I can’t emphasize enough that the Essential 7 kit is geared to the main areas where almost everyone is going to have a problem. Take sunburn, for example. This is a problem where lavender can be really helpful.

KAREN: I agree. I recently had a phone call from my youngest daughter, who had taken her kids out on a lake, and they were boating and having a great time. She talked about having taken along a bag of some of her oils that contained the Essential 7 kit, including Purificationlemon, and lavender, plus other favorites. Her four-year-old daughter is very fair, so lavender is a must for her to have on hand for sunburns. With her oils kit she is covered to handle most situations that come up—a headache, stomach ache, scraped knee, or sunburn—all those are covered with these versatile essential oils.

The Essential 7: PanAway

The Essential 7™  is a collection of seven of Young Living’s premiere single oils and oil blends. YL’s Doug Corrigan and Karen Boren are guest bloggers for a series sharing information that will teach you the many ways the Essential 7 kit can enrich your life.

Doug: Let’s talk a little about headaches. The most common type of headache is known as a vascular headache. Migraine headache are a form of vascular headaches when you get constriction in the different blood vessels which causes a lot of problems including blurred vision and of course, the extreme pain. Then there is the muscle type of headache and traction muscle headache when there is tightening in the neck and other areas causing pain. Inflammatory headaches are caused by areas that are inflamed like sinuses, spine, neck, ears, even the teeth—all of these can lead to headaches.

Doug: One of the things I like to use for headaches is PanAway because I’m not always so certain where the headache is arising from. I see the same response from lavender and peppermint. This is really a great yin and yang combination. If you’re unsure from where that headache is coming from, try a little of several oils.

Karen: I think that’s a really key point for people to know, that oils impact us all a little differently. We need to find out which ones are the ones that work best for us. Like you, I’ve experimented and found out which oils are helpful for me.

Enzyme Deficiencies Are a Growing Problem

Could You Be Enzyme Deficient?

Enzyme deficiencies are a growing problem. For more information on how to take Essentialzyme, review Chapters 9 and 19 in your EDR. If you don’t have a new Essential Oils Desk Reference, get it, because it will help you to better facilitate and direct your clients, customers, and patients in the direction they need to go with enzymes. It’s very important.

To summarize, Essentialzyme is an essential blend of animal origin and has pancrealipase, pancreatin 10X (which is the strongest), trypsin, and betaine hydrochloric acid. Then we combine it with a vegetable-originated blend of bromelain, which comes from pineapple; thyme; Carrot leaf powder; alfalfa sprout powder; alfalfa; and cumin seed powder, which we use because cumin also is a very active agent in enzymatic activity.

The Essential 7: Lemon

The Essential 7™  is a collection of seven of Young Living’s premiere single oils and oil blends. YL’s Doug Corrigan and Karen Boren are guest bloggers for a series sharing information that will teach you the many ways the Essential 7 kit can enrich your life.

Who knew the fragrance of lemon essential oil could be so calming?

DOUG:  An essential oil that jumps off the page to me with regards to the Essential 7 and emotions is lemon, which is an oil on which we have a lot of research in regards to mood and emotions.  Maybe you could talk about that, Karen.

KAREN: A study was done at the Mie University School of Medicine in Japan, where they found out that lemon seemed to have the ability to calm people down. Lemon not only calmed their anxiety, but it made people feel happier and able to deal with problems better.  They also found in the study that lemon oil would restore balance following stressful incidents. So I can’t think of anything better to have in a little emergency kit for when, as an example, the kids just took a huge can of peanut butter and slicked down the tiled hall to make a slide.

Transform Your Skin with Sandalwood

Another oil in Transformation that’s so powerful is sandalwood, which is really beautiful on the skin. I’m going to let Mary tell you about sandalwood because she uses it almost every single day.

MARY: I absolutely love sandalwood; I think it’s one of the most beautiful feeling oils on the skin. It has just the right texture—not too thin and not too thick—and I’ve been using it for years.

I can remember back in 1992 or ’93 before Gary and I were married. I was in my condo looking at the oils on the counter and wondered what it would be like to put oils on my skin, so I just started doing it and never stopped.

I don’t use only sandalwood, I also use other oils that are similar in viscosity. However, I have found that the oils have natural alcohol, which can be drying to the skin, and so I always put Boswellia Wrinkle Cream or A·R?T or one of the creams that we have on top of the oil and have found it to be a perfect combination for my skin.

Clary Sage Supports Hormone Function

Clary Sage is also in Transformation. It contains natural phytoestrogens and is a support for menopausal women. If your estrogen is low or your testosterone is low, or both, you are naturally going to have a tendency to feel a little bit depressed, your energy level’s going to be low, and you’re going to feel fatigue early in the afternoon or evening. You’re not going to feel like you want to go out and make one more phone call or one more contact or teach one more meeting, so it will limit your success and the timing of your success.

But if you have normal hormone function, you’re going to have more energy, be more energetic, and be more passionate with what you share with new people. Passionate people are like a magnet, they just attract people. The more passion you have and the more passion you share, the more people are going to be attracted to you.

The Transforming Power of Balsam Fir and Cardamom

When I conducted research with Dr. Jaime L. Matta in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1996 on DNA and RNA, frankincense, sandalwood, and balsam fir were the three oils that were the most powerful for transforming of DNA and RNA. So of course in Transformation, we also have balsam fir.

We can start to see the structure of how these oils work in helping to eradicate that bad encoded information. If you say your affirmations in a positive note while you’re breathing in frankincense or Transformation, it will encode that new information and empower you to go forward and do the things that maybe you have felt unsure of, limited in, insecure about, or whatever. Transformation is a powerful oil blend to help you overcome those limitations.

The Beauty of Sacred Mountain

Another beautiful oil blend that I really like sharing is Sacred Mountain. It was one of my early blends after I made Valor. Why? Because at that time I was living in the city, and I missed my mountains, so I felt the best way to bring my mountains to me was to create a blend called Sacred Mountain.

For me, the mountains are God’s living room. When I need to have quiet time to just think, brainstorm, connect, listen, get information, and download, I go to the mountains.

Anciently, people believed that the great trees were the antennas of the earth and that they would bring information to the earth from the atmosphere, the universe, the divine Creator, the Great Spirits, or whatever they were called; and if you went and hugged and laid underneath a tree, the ancient people believed you could absorb this information.

Let The Gift Transform Your Thoughts

So what does The Gift have in its ability to transform your thoughts? You know, when we are doing an emotional cleansing and discharging these things that have been trapped in the RNA, and we start erasing, we need to give a gift back. If we don’t, many times where you have breathed and gone through a cleansing and a purging but you didn’t replenish, those old feelings, those old thoughts will come right back in. It takes time to erase, to heal, and to restructure.

The Gift is the gift after your elimination of those negative feelings and negative thoughts. Give yourself The Gift and repair, rebuild, and replenish yourself with the power of its oils.

Myrrh

Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha) is an oil referenced throughout the Old and New Testaments (A bundle of myrrh is my well-beloved unto me. Song of Solomon 1:13). The Arabian people used it for many skin conditions, such as wrinkled, chapped, and cracked skin. Is has one of the highest levels of sesquiterpenes, a class of compounds that has direct effects on the hypothalamus, pituitary, and amygdala, the seat of our emotions. Frankincense and Enzyme Blueprints

The other day Dr. Suhail and I were talking about frankincense, and he asked me if I knew something that I wasn’t telling him, and I said, “Well, I’ll tell you my feeling. Frankincense does not kill abnormal cells.”

He replied, “Well, Gary, I’m seeing the evidence of it every day.”

I told him that what he is seeing is an illusion and that frankincense does not kill anything, because God did not create it to kill. Instead, frankincense digests abnormal cells (breaks them down).

He came up out of his chair and exclaimed, “I knew it; I knew it! Frankincense digests abnormal cells!”[...]

Enzymes Promote Faster Healing

Some of you saw my scans last year, and I’m going to use that to drive home my point. I have had my spine broken twice with 16 broken and crushed vertebras and 11 ruptured—not herniated—but ruptured disks. And do I have a limitation today? No, I don’t.

Why? Enzymes are a big part of it. Activity is a part of it. There is no one magic bullet, please understand that. It’s a lifestyle. And the lifestyle should be nothing more than the focus of vitality. If you want to have it, only you can create it. And you do that by making proper and better choices. It’s wonderful to feel alive.

Some of you know that seven years ago, I took a hit jousting with an 11-foot-long jousting lance—full speed, about 44 miles an hour. It went in my side, not completely in but far enough that I was glad it stopped when it did. Had I not had on chain mail and leather, it would have gone all the way through[...]

Adding Essential Oils to Enzymes

Today I will conclude with the other essential oils I chose for Essentialzyme™ and then Essentialzymes-4™.

Fennel works in the stomach as a digestive aid, but it is also stimulating to the circulatory, glandular, and respiratory systems. It has long been known to be balancing to the body.

Peppermint is primarily included to be a modulator in maintaining a normal inflammatory response, so it’s important for that first phase of digestion and not just for the refreshing flavoring.

Balance is Critical for Vitality

As I said in the beginning, I take more enzymes than any other supplements I take in Young Living, because I have known the value for years. I made Essentialzyme™ originally in 1984, and it has been mentioned since then as one of the most powerful enzymes on the market today. It’s so very, very effective.

But I have given you even more enzyme products.  You can make many combinations using Essentialzyme, Essentialzymes-4™, and other enzyme formulas I have created like Allerzyme™ or Detoxzyme™.

If you take three Essentialzyme before lunch for heartburn and the acid doesn’t go away, then add capsules from your Essentialzymes-4 pack, depending on what you ate. If you ate meat, add a yellow capsule, which contains protease for digesting protein. If you had guacamole and sour cream on your burrito, then add one of the natural-colored capsules, which contain lipase for fat.

Story of The Gift

The Gift
Another oil blend that was a gift to me from my sweetheart is called The Gift. It has almost all of the oils of Arabia in it–sacred frankincense, jasmine, galbanum, myrrh, cistus, and spikenard.

When I was traveling in Yemen two years ago, I found the Commiphora gileadensistree in Yemen. When traveling in Oman, John and Cole also found the gileadensis tree there. We have done some distilling and extracting of it. The oil that comes from it is very fragile, very volatile. It is absolutely amazing.

Gileadensis oil was used very extensively in Arabia in what was called Arabia Felix. It was distilled at Ein Gedi in the ancient distillery, is mentioned in the Bible numerous times, and is even referred to as the Balm of Gilead–some individuals believe that’s a direct relation.

How Do Lemon and Rosemary Help Us?

We also have lemon and rosemary in our Transformation oil blend.

Why would I include lemon? Because lemon is a blood and liver cleanser. It builds leukocytes and helps support the immune system. If your immune system is strong and you’re resisting disease, then you feel stronger physically to go through transformational changes.

Rosemary is a stabilizer, a balancer; it’s like an anchor and it’s really great for improving and enhancing digestive ability.

When you’re going through transformation, somebody might share a new idea with you, and you might think, “Oh, I can’t quite swallow that.”  Do you know what happens when you say, “I can’t quite swallow that” or “I don’t know if I can digest that”? You literally shut down your digestive system—your digestive enzymes and secretions just shut down. So when you’re going through a transformation, don’t say, “I can’t digest it” or “I can’t swallow it,” or you are not going to transform.

Western Red Cedar

Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata) is referred to as the “Tree of Life.” It has antiseptic properties, and is nourishing to the skin. It may also support a sense of calmness. This oil is different from the bark derived Canadian red cedar, which is also Thuja plicata. Western red cedar oil is not red in color and is steam distilled from the leaves and branches of the trees at the Young Living Farm in St. Maries, Idaho.
